End of Summer :(

The dreaded time has arrived...back to school! :(

The holidays are nearly over and they have gone so quickly! The weather wasn't that good either. I had a blast though, catching up with friends, going on holiday. How were your holidays?

Even though the end of the holidays means going back to school, I'm actually not that bummed. I can't wait to see my friends, meet my new tutor (who's probably not as good as my old one who left) and the best thing - get s new planner! You probably think I'm really sad saying that but I love getting a new, neat one!

Also this school year, I have to choose my GCSE's! I have no idea yet!

Are you looking forward to going back to school?

See you soon

Beauty Buys and First Impressions

In town a few days ago I had the chance to pop into Boots and get a few things.

every item was under £6

The first item I picked up was the Collection Eye Brow Kit at a price of only £3.99! I picked up the shade Blonde but there was another, darker, shade. The Powders have a really good quality finish and lasts a really long time. There are 3 powders, 1 clear eyebrow mascara and a double end brush included. The clear mascara that came with it is good but if you put on two or more layers, the ends of your eyebrow hairs become darker.

The next thing I bought was the Collection Bronze Glow Mosaic in shade 2 Radiant. I picked this up in a 2 for £5 offer with the (upcoming) lip butter, but I think it was around £3.
I was in need of a bronzer, and I didn't have alot of time so I picked this one up. when it came round to using it i wasn't very pleased. It was too shimmery and it just overall didn't work. I had to scratch the powder with the end of my brush to get some on (as you will see in the picture). Also it goes everywhere on your face unless you have a good foundation base.

Now on to lips, and I bought 2 lip products. One was the Collection Matt Lip Butter in the shade Marshmallow Pink. (I don't really understand the word play on 'Matt', it should be with an 'e' right?:).) This lip crayon is gorgeous and it feels so nice nice on your lips. It doesn't last the whole day, but…the finish makes up for it. The bright pink colour just adds a little fun to your make up. It was part of the @ for £5 offer but It was also around £3. I would definitely recommend this!

Finally, I got the Rimmel London Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in shade 38. It cost me £5.49 and it is the most beautiful pinky nude there could be. It can be pulled off everyday as it is so neutral yet noticeable. I've only had it a couple of days but it is probably my new go-to. It has a little bit off shimmer that makes the finish a bit glossy. It lasts such a long time too!

this picture doesn't show the right colour so go check it out here!

Hope you enjoyed this post and please leave and suggestions for future blog post ideas!
What make up items have you been loving?

See you all very soon!

Spread Happiness | Friday Quotes

Life holds the most precious things that are so easy to grab and hold on to forever, but some people find hard to reach out. Being happy is one of those things. Happiness is one of my favourite things. It's probably one of yours as well, it's just hard to explain why.

This quote makes me feel like such a good person because I am happy and I love spreading happiness.

"Be somebody that makes everyone else feel like somebody". This quote is so powerful because it shows you how that you can reflect youe happiness and you being positive on to other people.

When someone says to you you've helped me feel like I canbe who I am, it feels amazing. When you can achieve something and feel so good about yourself it feels even better to hep other people. If you aren't rewarded for what you achieved, helping somebody else achieve what they want is a reward on its own.

Living life happily is one thing, but passing your happiness around is another. Stay true to yourself a spread happiness, you will feel good about yourself. :)

Advice | School

Secondary school can be a place where you are given amazing opportunites that you might never experience again. However, it is also a place where people show there true colours - and not in a good way. People start to judge, stare and be mean. Everyone goes through it, but some harsher than others.

Despite how badly it is for you I have some tips that will help you through your school years.

1). Be yourself. You're probably thinking everyone says that/how cringe etc. but it's true. If you aren't true to yourself and people like the person that isn't really you, one day they will notice that you act differently at school to home. Everyone has unique qualities and that's what makes them who they are.

2) Be comfortable in your own skin. If you aren't comfortable with who you are, you will struggle to make friends and take part in activities. I know it sounds crazy that you will find it hard to do such easy things but when you feel happy about yourself you will just naturally find friends that are like you.

3) Be confident. If you show yourself as a confident person people won't pick you as there victim. Why, you say? Well, bullies target weak people not strong, confident ones. Being confident shows how strong you are as a person and you will be able to deal with the meaness(if that's even a word) and the bullies will see it's not affecting you.

I hope this quick blog post can help some of you with school, because I know it can be a cruel place sometimes. If you stick with your friends, and you support each other, if something bad happens, you will always have someone by your side. I know that for sure.

See you all very soon,

Hello

You've probably come across this blog on a rainy day and are wondering why is it so bare? It's the end of July, summer's here, and I want to start a blog.

This blog.

No specific reason why, but I thought it would be a cool idea to have my own little place on the Internet where I can share what I'm up to and hopefully get something good out of it.

I'm at that awkward stage (teenage years) where girls seem to become horrible and argue over nothing and maybe this blog will be my place where I can sit down and let it all out. Maybe some of you (if there are any!) could relate. So without further of do let me introduce myself!

My name is Ciara, pronounced Kira, I am 13 years old and come from Wiltshire. I love all things fashion and beauty and I would love to go further with these and make a career out of them. I do dancing for fun but I swim competitively for Wiltshire. I love all animals and I am begging my parents to get a dog (a small one, that you can cuddle).

I believe myself to be quite a caring person, and a funny one. I can be outgoing somedays and moody others, like a normal teenager! My friends can tell you that! Oh wait, I forgot to mention that - I love hanging out with my friends. Maybe I will find some new ones through this blog.

I hope you enjoyed reading this brief introduction and that you can follow me, and my blog, for the journey ahead, that will definitely be a good one!

Happy Blogging!
